This work is an allegory. It contains deep symbolic meaning. Although we see a giant fish soaring through the skies and a small fisherman in a boat minding his own business, this work is not about fishing in the strictest sense of the word.
In some way, every person who is looking for something or trying to conquer a certain peak, to tame something rebellious, is the same fisherman with a fishing rod. This metaphor is the most accurate. The only difference is that the fisherman’s activity is of a different kind - he simply sits motionless in his boat and waits.
A body of water is the opportunity that this world provides to a person. A fishing rod is a tool with which a fisherman has a chance to catch something. The question is how lucky he is, which fish will bite. It all depends on luck and the patience of the fisherman. These are irrational factors that do not depend on objective circumstances. This means that it is better to influence them in equally irrational ways - for example, by the strength of your intention, the scale of the expected result, or an unconventional attitude to the current situation. And this is already magic. Let's imagine that you are not catching a big fish, but it is catching you. You have no interest in it, you are simply enjoying a peaceful stay in the lap of nature. Be the fishermen in your life, don’t scare away your magical fish with excessive charisma.
