Description

This drawing was made for 21e de l'Art Actuel France- Japon as a supplementary prize of Le Grand Prix Drawing of 33eme Salon International de Paris This piece was exhibited at The National Art Center Tokyo in August 2020 (at that time, my artist name was "Y") I expressed what I felt and thought during this chaotic time and I learned that we need to stay calm, feel inner peace and find hope even whatever happens Paper: Strathmore "Bristol Strathmore "Bristol" smooth surface Charcoal: GENERAL'S charcoal pencils & Iken charcoal powder Watercolor pencils: STAEDTLER This work was exhibited at the National Art Center, Tokyo as a complimentary prize for winning the Drawing Prize at the 33rd International Salon in Paris and was invited to the 21st World Exhibition of Contemporary Art from Japan and France. In the year 2020, the world was in chaos, and I felt the importance of maintaining peace of mind and hope in such a unique situation, which I expressed in this work. Concept

Self-taught, I draw mainly with charcoal and pastels on paper. I express the ambiguity of human beings, such as thoughts and emotions, through their bodies, facial expressions, and especially their gazes. I have loved drawing since I was a child, and I will continue to do so in order to expand my view of the world. *If there is a real model, the name of the model, etc. is clearly stated in the summary section of each work. All reference photos are taken by subscription or purchased directly from the model, photographer, or artist, and permission to use them has been obtained.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
