Description

Watercolor, colored pencil, and pastel on watercolor paper. Pastel and colored pencil are applied on top of watercolor, and then gampi is pasted on top of the watercolor and further drawn, so that the materials are overlapped in a baking soda-like manner, revealing deep tones and expressions. On a windy day, the painting depicts a tree being swept by the wind and the mountains beyond. The artist's watercolor expression makes use of accidental brush strokes and fluid nuances. Concept

Curved surfaces with rich and smooth forms bulge out in front of the viewer as if trying to relate to the outside world.
On the other hand, the delicate and majestic world of nature depicted in the work has infinite depth and mysterious distortion, drawing the viewer in and out. It is as if the viewer is peering into a landscape reflected in a tiny drop of water.
The grain on the surface of the work "creates ripples and shimmering air, giving the subject of the painting an intonation and a sense of deep reverie," and at the same time suggests once again that the support is made of wood (a material).
