Riga, the old port city, was one of the centres of the Hanseatic League. Its past is reflected in its varied architecture, ranging from the medieval historic centre to art nouveau buildings and old wooden houses. If you climb the bell tower of St. Peter's Church, designed by the artist, you will have a picturesque view of the skyline saturated with numerous bell towers. Perhaps, you will hear the echo of their bells, echoing across the sky for centuries.
