Such interesting cats as the Sphynx were mentioned in antiquity. Later information about them was found in Morocco and India, as well as in Paraguay. Gradually, by crossing rare representatives of these individuals, the number of sphinxes increased, and today it is considered one of the most popular cat breeds. I had to communicate with a Sphynx as a guest and I want to say that it is an inquisitive, intelligent and very friendly cat. To the touch it is very warm and soft. The character of this breed is wonderful, at heart they are very kind and affectionate cats. In my picture I depicted an unusual, kind and playful sphinx cat who looks into the distance. He saw something interesting that he likes very much. Maybe it's a new toy, or a tasty food? It's up to the viewer.

This is an original pastel drawing on paper. It was exhibited in online exhibition of the Russian Pastel Drawing Society and had a special mention from the jury. It was exhibited in a group exhibition at National Contemporary Art Center (Minsk, Belarus) and is published in a catalog.

The drawing is titled and signed on the back.

Concept

My name is Tatiana Ilyina. And I am an artist in love with my work. I have a creative studio where I spend all my time painting as a professional activity. In my work I use only expensive high-quality materials, so for many years my paintings do not fade and remain in perfect condition.

Over the years I have tried many themes and techniques in my art. But right now I am in love with dry pastels. Often I add watercolor to them, which in combination is a unique and very rare technique. My paintings are full of life and joy. Often the subjects of the paintings are flowers, animals, nature. They inspire me madly to paint new and even more exciting subjects.

I am very happy that I have devoted my life to creativity. But the biggest happiness for me is that my paintings are actively sold all over the world. The paintings are in private collections in Australia, Belgium, and America. I also won a competition to support the people of Bergamo in the first wave of the coronavirus in Italy, and now my paintings hang in the consulate of that city.

I am also a member of the National Pastel Society of Russia and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, and I also included in the unified register of professional artists. This is an official art communities recognized worldwide. I have participated in many exhibitions and my paintings have been purchased not only online but also off line.
