For the production of this drawing I decided to adopt a very different style from all the others, in fact the edges are very rounded making it obvious that it is a sculpture being represented. It depicts the love affair between the young and mortal Psyche and the immortal Cupid, who was sent by his mother (Venus) to take revenge on Psyche, of whom she was jealous, with the beauty of her son who should not have reciprocated the love of the girl. Love, however, fell in love with her and did not respect the plan of the mother, who took revenge by sinking Psyche into a deep sleep, but Love awakened her, with the kiss that the work of Antonio Canova portrays.
The technique with which this drawing has been realized is the dotwork, that is a set of dots fill the figure to give it depth and the dots are more numerous in the shaded areas. The time taken by me to produce this work is about 70 hours. The materials used are a sheet (48x33 cm) and indelible fountain pens with a tip from 0.05 cm to 0.5 cm.
