The idea of drawing a world famous work stems from my desire to try my hand at something almost beyond my abilities, in fact this is my first drawing on a size sheet (33 x 48 cm). The way in which despair is demonstrated in this sculpture is merciless, with the depiction of a mother holding her dead son in her arms, after he has suffered a public execution on unfounded charges. In my depiction, you can see the many shadows, almost excessive, which give a good idea of the size and the fact that the one depicted is a sculpture.
The technique with which this drawing was made is dotwork, that is, a set of dots fill the figure to give it depth and the dots are more numerous in the shaded areas.
The time taken by me to produce this work is about 70 hours.
The materials used are a sheet (48x33 cm) and indelible fountain pens with a tip from 0.05 cm to 0.5 cm.
