Formerly inhabited areas, real or fictional, shows Lost Places. Originally the center of a long stay or short rest. Inhabited by humans or animals. Human intervention has changed this place. But little by little, nature reclaims it. In many drawings I also integrate old, sometimes colored, faded paper or newsprint into the image motif. Through repeated abrasion, I show the viewer a past, which are similar to the drawings on walls of old buildings or caves. On this 'weathered underground' I apply with ink and art pen also drawings from the observations of nature, human and animal world. These are either minimally or partially sanded off again, and only a 'framework' or some contours remain. On this basis, the motif is gradually completed until the finished picture.
