I used oil pastels to draw a motif of an everyday black phone, which was in my grandmother's house in the early 1990s, and although the actual phone is missing, I reconstructed it in my painting based on my memory. The black phone in my memory is not just a material object, but has been through the hands of many people, and the movement of turning the dial and the fine scratches that accompany it. I also added a modern arrangement to the picture, depicting old and nostalgic things that I am living in today. I use MDF board, a laminated wood often used in construction, as a support material, and draw directly and strongly with oil pastels.
