    Shinji Kanda is a painter/illustrator living in Japan. The source of his work is the desire to record the unconnected words and images that pop into his head and disappear in the course of his daily life. His works are characterized by a surrealistic view of the world with unique shadows, which he creates mainly with a pen and pencil in an obsessive and magical drawing style, as well as with experimental manga-style drawings and collage techniques.
