Ground zero reports one of the most frequented historical and tourist attractions in the city of Recife, capital of northeastern Brazil.
The screen exposes lines and details to the eyes. It also has a great demand from local and national fans who visit the place, it is one of the artist's most requested works.
Ground zero was the path adopted to expand the growth of the area in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, which began with the occupation of European peoples.
Famous for being the oldest neighborhood in the city, its expansion took place significantly from 1630 onwards, in the context of Dutch immigration, with advances that were maintained even after the Portuguese regained possession of the land.
At the time, there were even periods in which the old neighborhood had a high population density. From 1910 onwards, the neighborhood went through another remarkable period, the result of works that sought both to modernize the port there and to erect new buildings, meaning that around two thirds of the neighborhood had to be demolished to make room for new buildings.
Ground zero is located in the heart of the city, where some reflections of all these moments can be seen, so that important historical monuments are located in the surrounding area.
