FORGOTTEN FLOWERS by Giacomo Giannini
"Forgotten Flowers" is a project without space and time, a journey in search of the poetic essence of a flower capable of revealing something and hiding something else, express the restlessness of nature, drag the visitor into places of the soul, as if there should be nothing more natural and important.
Snapshots taken with a small 5 megapixel digital camera and printed on cotton sheets like watercolors by a botanist.
A research into the poetic and metaphorical use of the image, a meticulous choice that identifies, in the vastness of nature, essential elements that escape the common gaze. Flowers considered minor in favor of more productive and better known crops, but which carry with them memory and traditions, capable of evoking sensations of revelation and concealment, visions that become open reflections on life.
An authentic journey in which the viewer breathes the implicit mystery of art, rediscovers a new beauty, welcomes the scream of the flowers that slam their existence in his face and become a reminder of the need to rethink the present, recognizing the inevitability of life.
FORGOTTEN FLOWERS by Giacomo Giannini
"Fiori Dimenticati" is a project without space and time, a journey in search of the poetic essence of a flower capable of revealing something and hiding something else, expressing the restlessness of nature, dragging the visitor to the places of the soul, as if there should be nothing more natural and important.
Snapshots taken with a small digital camera of 5 megapixels and reported on cotton sheets like watercolors of a botanical scholar.
A research in the poetic and metaphorical use of the image, a meticulous choice that identifies, in the vastness of nature, essential elements that escape the common gaze. Flowers considered minor in favor of more productive and better known crops, but that drag with them memory and traditions, capable for this reason of evoking feelings of revelation and concealment, visions that become open reflections on life.
An authentic journey in which the viewer breathes the implicit mystery of art, rediscovers a new beauty, welcomes the scream of flowers that throw their existence in his face and become a reminder of the need to rethink the present, recognizing the inevitability of life.
