It was one of the great philosophers – let’s call him Plato – who said that an autopsy cadaver and a naked girl are equivalent to daisies reflected in glass; and if that is not an exact quote it ought to be, given the unparalleled profundity of the ancient Greeks. Everything relates to Greek philosophy and mythology, and is illumined and enhanced by them, except everything that isn’t, and that happens to be everything else. I have no interest in ancient Greece, and never will. Something is happening here.
