Still Life photography is one of my favorites. The objects related to my personal life, arrayed in a particular fashion as providence would suggest, would remain in the same way as if they were caught in and frozen by time. Objects from my everyday life, each with its own story and memories, are intimate. At the same time, they are symbolic of society and its complex structures. It evokes a sense of nostalgia and curiosity. I usually reuse my earlier works, and the recreated ones are conjoined metamorphoses of memories and experiences. Like an astute meditator, filtering out and adding newer meanings and imaginations brings a different dimension to a lived moment. The broken toys of my children, the stone from the Dead Sea, a shoe, etc., blends to weave the story of my life and surroundings, its turbulent ups and downs, love, denial, and triumphs.
