The waves seem violent yet they slowly shape the rocks over millenia. But mankind seems gentle but destroys millions of years in seconds.
This is part of project “Magkaugnay”, created in Iceland during an artist residency. The remoteness of the town I stayed in felt like a paradox; it was isolated, but I felt all the more connected to it. The sea, the rocks, the wind, the morning lights, the mountains – all of them playing their songs, but only if you tune in to their frequency. I listened, and I only create what was whispered to me.
