    Description

    This work is from Ida's lithograph series. In this series, motifs such as pigs and tapirs are rendered in delicate tones through multi-layered lithographs. The pig motif is based on Ida's experience of raising pigs in his family, and is part of his original experience. Also, as in his paintings, the pig symbolizes an entity that is raised and ultimately consumed. And because of its dream-eating characteristics, the baku is also a fascinating motif that evokes the relationship between the "eater" and the "eaten.
