Dreams have been a private world where our subconscious mind weaves its tapestry of thoughts, emotions, and desires. The conscious mind has its dreams, too! These waking dreams consist of our aspirations for the world and ourselves based on aspirations. Technology is one fruit of modern dreams, the outcome of our will to improve the world.
However, industrialization has impacted all landscapes, including the mind that produced it. The encroachment of industrialization has cast a shadow over this once-pristine landscape of the mind with the constant hum of machines, the glow of screens, and the ceaseless demands of modern life's transactional swish-swish seeping into the fabric of our sleep, altering the nature of our dreams.
"(I)ndustrial dreaming" is a call to reclaim our dreams as sanctuaries of solace and reflection, free from the encroachment of the modern world.
