“All good things must come to an end.” is a proverb probably derived from Chaucer’s Troilus and Criseyde (In Book 3:] “But at the laste, as every thing hath ende, She took hir leve and needës woldë wende.” --that is, she said good-bye and intended to leave).
It is a good way of thinking about the seasons. Each season provides us with its own joy--yes, even winter! When a season ends, spectacular weather of some sort often marks its exit in showy fashion and the coming of a new season begins.
Fall is now ending in Shizuoka, Japan and, recently, the prefecture has seen some pretty spectacular skies.
