Life magazine cover. Things going wrong. Our covenant with medicine. An unforeseen destiny. Imagined cover art. Life magazine promised much, but didn’t always deliver. This issue certainly did: all about the ‘lovebug’ – you may need to look it up. Also contained a colour section on ‘God in Moscow,’ with rare photographs of the deity.
Narrative art, inspired by the possibilities inherent in visual poetry and photomontage, and designed to take you into an unsettling zone of the imagination. The story is there right in front of you, but to the extent that the art is successful, it should be hard to say exactly what it all means: at best it represents an impenetrable sequence of events, and an imaginative enigma.
My works are portals to strange and disturbing worlds which cannot be reached any other way.
