Concept

Iris Jacobs is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the search for peace in a world that constantly demands our attention. Through surreal, abstract spaces, her handmade analogue contemporary collages, offer both an escape and a confrontation, drawing you in while confronting the impossibility of fully entering. By deconstructing reality and reimagining new ones, Iris navigates human relationships, behaviour, interactions, and the emotional impact of the architecture of design. Her collages blend collected books, magazines, objects, and sometimes paint, creating puzzles that invite exploration through form, color, texture, and structure.

Her work has been featured in Art Connect Magazine, with the piece Who Is Afraid of Pink? from the series Close To Silence. She has exhibited widely, including at Women In Art 2023, organized by Fotolabkiekie, and Piet Jonker.nl. Does this art work need a frame?

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
