This series of paintings where created in a pandemic context... Being alone in the studio I just let myself go and draw anything that came to my mind at the time, then I just needed to continue the creative process of the piece to get to the final result... I've always been influenced by manga culture, indigenous cultures as Wixarrika and by the BUDDHIST TANKA. For me this series of pantings express what it's for me to be living in a urban city and having indigenous cultural backgrounds.
I feel at the same time a deep connection with nature, but in a different way from my ancestors, thats why the digital medium helps me reunite both sides of me, the one who is related to mother nature, and the one who is more in touch with new technologies and social media... I feel like my work it's very representative of my generation because, it keeps the handmade kind of line but with digital enhanced techniques.
