    Concept

    Kanemaki, who was born in 1972 in Chiba prefecture, has been presenting his works on the domestic woodcarving scene, and in recent years, he has expanded his activities to Taiwan and other Asian countries.

    Kanamaki's works, in which multifaceted human figures are expressed through woodcarving, take the word "ambivalence" as a clue to the spirituality of people, which is fraught with mental fluctuations, duality, and contradictions, and formulate them through the technique of carving up the wood.
