    Description

Mykonos Everyone knows this island in the Aegean Sea. The melody of Paul Moriah, Pearl of the Aegean Sea suits it. The music, which I myself love, also inspires the idea of painting. The harmony of endless white and blue. A ship drifting on the blue sea. That is the kind of Mykonos I tried to depict. At dusk, people bask in the waning light on a hill. The shooting star is a blessing for those who see the painting. Size of the work 60 x 36.5 cm. Giclee paper. 5/200 edition number.

    Concept

An endless sea of clouds. The world I dreamed of as a child. The moment of the sunrise, a moment of many emotions, I was a sky traveler. Mr. Tetsuya Ueda is a sky traveler. While working as a JAL flight engineer on a 747, he also worked as an artist. His work has been covered by the mass media and newspapers. He has established a unique world of cockpit art as his art style, depicting scenes seen from the cockpit. His aim to become a professional artist was triggered by two watercolor paintings of size 80 that he submitted to the Prova Grand Prize Exhibition. They are Dreamer and Rome on the subject of Rome. The person in charge told me that Teppei Sasakura had judged the works and said they were candidates for the Grand Prize. The sketches were made at work, and they are the subjects of European and Hawaiian art. Through art, I have been able to convey the excitement of the sky. I would like to continue to create art, including landscapes, in the future.
