The title of this work, "Hushisareba Hana" (Secret is a Flower), is a phrase from the Noh treatise "Fushikaden" written by Zeami to express the world view of Noh, a traditional Japanese performing art. The meaning of this phrase is that the concealment of things (secrecy) is what stirs the viewer's imagination and creates great emotion in the world of Noh. Muhana-mujyo (meaning "flowerless and impermanent") is compared to a flower that is formless, constantly changing, blooming and then falling. In this work, I tried to approach the world of "Nohgaku" by combining motifs of people, flowers, and plants in a form of expression from figurative to abstract, and to create a world view that is glossy, beautiful, and lyrical and spiritual.
