A waitress carrying a fruit parfait in a pink flower garden restaurant. This work is one of Ichiro Takezawa's representative works selected for the Salon d'Automne, an international competition held annually at a special venue on the Champs-Elysées boulevard in Paris in 2013. It was founded in 1903 by Franz Jordan, the architect of the department store "Samaritaine," along with artists Mateis, Rouault, Marquet, Bonnard, Camoin, Friès, Villars, and others. Japanese artists selected for the competition include Tsuguharu Fujita, Seiji Togo, and Yuzo Saeki. The prints are finished as beautiful hand-colored prints. Pigment-based ink (lightfastness for about 200 years) is used on a durable canvas, so it will not discolor semi-permanently.
