Description

Corona disaster, "Amabie" became a hot topic on SNS.
It is said that "Amabie" is a specter who appeared in the sea of Kumamoto in the Edo period and said, "If a plague spreads, show my copy to people as soon as possible", and disappeared into the sea. This Amabie is riding on the back of a lion, which glares in all directions and keeps the plague at bay, and is looking toward a peaceful world where the plague is gone. I painted this work with the intention of praying for an early end to the Corona disaster, the removal of evil spirits, and good health.
The prints were printed on canvas and carefully hand-colored to create a very beautiful work of art.
Pigment-based ink (lightfastness of about 200 years) is used, so the color will not change semi-permanently.
