Created in 2019 for the exhibition at Salitre, Barcelona, ‘Only Screens’ is part of the Close to Silence series. The work is inspired by the overwhelming presence of screens in our world—people glued to their phones, screens on public transport, in squares, and in homes.
In ‘Only Screens,’ the repetition of these screens takes on a rhythmic quality, almost like a choreography. They become easy to watch, their stillness offering a quiet observation rather than action. The piece speaks to the acceptance of this modern reality, where we simply coexist with the screens that surround us, silently observing as we move through the world
