Merry Everything is a mixed media collage, entirely cut out from magazines and books by hand. Created as an analogue piece, it is then photographed and printed in a limited edition of 150 pieces, each delivered with an original certificate signed by the artist, Iris Jacobs.
As part of the ‘Close to Silence’ series, Merry Everything is about acceptance—embracing where we are right now. It’s about recognizing that only by fully accepting ourselves, with all our limitations and circumstances, can we create the changes needed to move in the right direction. Focusing on what’s missing keeps us stuck, preventing us from moving forward. Merry Everything is about making space for yourself, taking up that space, and giving yourself permission to embrace it fully—to ‘Merry Everything.’
