‘Pink Flamingo’ is a vibrant piece of collage art that would certainly stand out as a hero in any room. It is an exciting mix of vibrant and pastel colours which contrast well together. The long strips of paper on the background echo the long neck and body of the flamingo and the overlaying layers of paper on the body of the flamingo really highlight the birds fluffy feathers.

All my prints are professionally printed high quality giclee prints meaning the closest duplication of my original collage piece that is physically possible using archival paper and inks. Signed and numbered on the front and printed on Ilford Galerie Textured Cotton Rag 310gsm with a white border. Unframed and delivered rolled up in an art tube.

Concept

Sue uses recycled magazines, type, maps, photos, patterns and more to create one-of-a-kind collages. By ripping and cutting up these items she is able to construct unique works of art that appear semi-realistic from a distance, yet abstract up close. She loves people to lose themselves in the artwork, scanning the fine detail to discover the text and images that intertwine to make these unique "paintings".

Sue is excited to produce an environmentally respectful art form which allows her to give new purpose to discarded magazines, graphics and paper. Her work entices people to look closer. Sue's method is always evolving as she deconstructs an image into shades and shapes that can be depicted on the canvas with paper, and through experimentation overcomes the hurdles to bring a truly individual piece. She hopes you enjoy her work and looks forward to developing her style further in the years to come.

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
