    Description

When I was thinking about the illusion of emotion, sometimes fear, my friend said, I was in my 500 euro pocket today but I lost it. At that time, he was a little upset, but said, But it's just a number, so I won't hurt. At the same time, I was staying south of the Netherlands, when hemp cloth was a symbol of wealth in the Netherlands in the past, with cabinets with glass windows so that I could look at it rather than use it. I heard that it was kept tidy and stored. I then found a very old, tattered, already ghostly hemp cloth. Then I stamped on the cloth, counting the numbers from the middle like swirling. From these two stories I created a round symbol that looks like a target in three colors, or looks like a frontal view of a deep tunnel. And I made a digital collage of three patterns that combined the stamped hemp cloth photo, these three color targets and the image of the human skull. Every time the color changes, it grows larger. With these three prints, we have fantastically visualized the concept of numbers, especially the fear we feel in our general life, time and money.

  • About this artist

    Concept

Eiko Ishizawa, who had been questioning the common sense of nature that has taken the destruction of nature from childhood, explored the relationship, boundaries, and balance between nature / abstract and cultural civilization / concrete using versatile materials. We are exploring other realities that are different from the current trends in society.
Ishizawa, like a film director, instructs various materials, gravity, and air to play tentatively assumed roles, but the actor's personality and ad lib are exhibited in the process, and the script is updated . The abstract diagram made up of the coexistence of Ishizawa and the performers is also a diagram that embodies that everything exists in relationships and dependencies with other things. Ishizawa's work, which has a spirit of loving and enjoying the freedom found through nature, inserts an abstract perception into everyday life with humor.
