Contemporary Art Room Gallery "BOTANICALS" Online exhibition Finalist work.
This work was created from two images of my own ceramic works. One is a faintly visible flower. It is an image of a raw porcelain clay work created by my own technique. The other is an image of a unique pastel-colored glaze that has melted particularly beautifully in the firing process. The raw clay work, which changes its appearance from moment to moment, and the fired work, which remains unchanged forever. By collaborating images of these two opposing works of art, a new world of digital art is expressed. The digital processing was done using Photoshop, and I focused on making the photographic image look less like a photograph, and on how much transparency I could bring to the thin petals of the flowers.
