The theme of my work is the gap between universal human emotions and the modern age. I believe that everyone has experienced being moved by seeing something beautiful and being moved by it. And that experience should be an important one for all of us. However, in today's world, many of us live our lives in a very fast-paced and hectic pace. We want to live beautifully, but it is difficult to do so in these times. There is a gap between our universal sentiments and the modern age. However, we should not be pessimistic about it, but rather, when we become aware of it, that is the beginning. This work was created using the mezzotint technique of copperplate engraving. Since very thin Japanese paper is pasted together when printing the plate, you can feel the harmony of the white of the paper, the natural color of the Japanese paper, and the color of the ink.
