"One of the fun processes is to choose materials that fit what I want to express. For example, ceramic clay is wonderful because it seems to confine people's selfish eternity to features that cannot be returned to nature when fired. I use it carefully as a limited resource.
I like to think about the relationship between something and something else, such as freedom and bondage, individual and group, star and seed, history and myself, and to compare and reverse the position of each. I try to make work that also has a margin for the viewer to let his or her imagination run wild."

I use different materials depending on what I want to make, but I mainly use ceramic clay for my work.
The theme is the reversal of hierarchy and eternity, and I often use birds and livestock as objects of freedom and constraint.
I like ceramic clay as a material because I feel that the fact that it cannot be returned to the natural soil after it is fired makes it seem like it is filled with eternity and human ego.
