Concept

I have been working as a makeup artist for about 25 years, and a few years ago, I started to create original collage works by cutting and pasting photos of my own makeup works by analog method. I felt a sense of accomplishment and joy at the fact that my work as a makeup artist was being made more and more by a team of people, with models and photographers taking pictures and retouching them, and at the same time I wondered if I could express myself in my own way. I express a woman who does not exist anywhere else. In each piece of work, my thoughts and techniques at that moment and time are mixed and matched regardless of the time axis to create a self-expression.

Biography

After working at a beauty salon in Tokyo, she decided to become a makeup artist and moved to New York. She spent about 2 years doing free cuts in parks, not being able to communicate with many people, and studied under various make-up artists during that time. After backpacking through Thailand, Rice, Nepal, and India, she returned to Tokyo and has been active in a wide range of fields, including fashion, advertising, beauty, and music, with a free spirit that grew up in nature and a unique and vivid perspective nurtured through encounters with various people and cultures. She creates analog three-dimensional collages using her own works.
