My defenition of art is : surreal pop art enthusiast. Bruno is passionate about Surrealism, dadaism and pop art since he was a child . Their strange, singular, easy tools and resources expression associate to the new vision of the art, inspired me to use old newspapers and magazines to create my expression on the pasting and cutting process. He is part of the Millennial Generation wicht one is product on the digital revolution when all tools and skills used to make and desvelop art was reinveted and renewed, making the pixel the new form of expression and adding more one process route to the plural form of art. The 80's and 90's was the era of consumer culture and high images exposure in which in itself is already very surreal, makig a very thin line in what was the product and the expression of art . A toxic positivism in the capital wicht made our socity belives that everyone cold buy a happiness and e recognition . The artist defines these era until today as a pop surreal culture, where we live in a imaginary world based on exposing our best side on the internet or magazine selling ourseves like : demigods. We are living in a stupid nihilism where human relationships go through moments of very superficiality and ego fetishism. We gave up on trying to look beyond our navels, to be cordial, benevolent, compassionate, rational and perhaps human in the civilizing sense of the word. Nowadays, art only has the status of art if it can be worth something, we are objectifying everything that is possible and transforming it into capital (money) : personal experiences, feelings, sensitivity and relationships. Art is no longer a vision of the artist, but the vision of a market interested only in what is beautiful to hang or put in the entrance hall of any home or business. Society in general does not know what art is, its process, its importance, its potential for social and cultural transformation, the current order is not to waste time with something that has no monetizable value. The disbelief in politics and in the human being makes us question the need to create art in a pandemic world, hungry, poor for the most part, in a socio-cultural crisis.Surrealism proposes an appreciation of fantasy, madness and the use of automatic reaction. Pop Art is an artistic movement characterized by the reproduction of themes related to consumption, advertising and American way of l ife, the mixture of them is exactly the expression of what is our reality on Digital contemporary days. My art is about a connection of the dreamlike world and the brutal reality that surrounds me living a unique society in Latin America. LGBTQIA+ themes, poverty, religion, ignorance, exclusion, misogyny, food disorder corruption and more. Like an escape from reality, making a fusion of my internal demons and angels make them a single expression of my World vision and voice. Life usually does not have any sense and no answers to all human dramas and situations, and my art gives voice to this no sense condition. Sometimes No answer is an answer , it just depends on the point of view you take it . I was born in a small town in Minas Gerais State called Passos (steps in english), and this place is not open to art, to diversity rights and respect, I suffered a lot trying to not collapse being who I am and was. Art saved me so much time from these shadows and no one's place , gave me strength to keep going and made my expression bigger . I am the strange guy, living in a traditional small city, trying to be heard and taken seriously by my choice to live from my art. I don't know if I was efficient with my words, writing in other languages which is not my mother language. Rodrigo de Moura, my partner and I decided to create the Art_e_motion to promulgate my work."
