He was born in 1965 in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Hamamatsu City, where he was born, is a famous industrial area that has produced the founders of many famous companies such as TOYOTA, HONDA, and YAMAHA.
As a child, he admired heroes such as Thunderbirds and Ultraman, and enjoyed making figures and spaceships out of styrofoam and paper. It can be said that his passion for manufacturing, integrity and sense of justice were nurtured at that time.
In high school, he studied mechanical engineering, but when he encountered Yves Tanguy's art books, he became devoted to Surrealism and spent his days drawing pictures. He also sympathized with the clothing designs of Kansai Yamamoto and taught himself to make hand-knitted clothes.
Later, he worked for a local electronics company and continued his creative activities such as wood crafts as a hobby. As a mechanical enthusiast, he was also attracted to antique machines such as clockwork fly traps and collected them. He says, "Clockwork machines give me a kind of peace of mind that we don't have today.
He began to study counseling at the age of 48, and in the course of helping people and dealing with his own emotions, he began to notice the existence of something like an unformed impulse. There were even times when he felt an uncontrollable urge, such as when he went to an exhibition. He was asked to draw an illustration for a character contest for the 30th anniversary of the company to which he belonged, and this became the prototype for Futureman. With this opportunity, the image of retro-futurism became clearer, and he began to draw the world of retro-futurism through Futureman. Furthermore, when I printed the illustrations on T-shirts, the joy of making clothes came back to me and I felt a sense of joy in my daily life. Wanting to share this joy with as many people as possible, he decided to create the Futureman brand under the slogan "Bringing smiles to people with T-shirts! as the slogan for the Futureman brand.
The machines, heroes, fashion, and paintings that he has cultivated in his life are fused together to create Futureman, which exists here and now. The future is created by living the present to the fullest. Now, together with the Futuremen, he has started his journey as an artist to bring smiles to people's faces.
