Concept

Andrey Bulatov creates unique color vibrations of a specific place (urban and natural environment) with the help of classical watercolor technique, using rich color contrast to emphasize and direct the interaction of man and nature into a peaceful direction. With the help of his work, he tries to convey admiration for the forces of nature and man who was able to find harmony with the forces of nature. From his travels around Bulgaria and observations of everyday life, plots gradually emerge that form the basis for creating paintings. Andrey Bulatov tries to maintain a modern level of work, without using neural networks, photos from the Internet, etc. The artist looks at the original nature, constantly goes plein air.

Andrei Bulatov was born June 15, 1959
Education: Sverdlovsk Architectural Institute (now the Ural State University of Architecture and Art) 1976-1981. designer by profession.
Work in the specialty: Kaluga, Russia. Creation of urban space projects. Color solutions for architectural ensembles of historical protected areas of the urban environment. Development of small architectural forms, interiors of public spaces, furniture, architectural design of residential buildings in a unique historical environment. 1982-1992
Freelance artist-designer. Yekaterinburg, Russia. Designing street cafes and interiors of small shops, exhibition displays and producing art objects for them. 1993-2003.
Freelance artist-designer. Yekaterinburg, Russia. Development and production of series of wooden souvenirs, sculptural and wicker furniture and decor, unique decorative and souvenir sets made of wood. Still lifes, landscapes, portraits in oil and acrylic techniques. Graphics - charcoal and pencil, gouache and watercolor. Participation in city and regional exhibitions. 2003-2021.
Freelancer. Dabovo, region Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Series of watercolors of city landscapes, Black Sea, Burgas, Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Kazanlak, Dabovo. Series of still lifes in watercolor. Two exhibitions in the village of Dabovo community. Maglizh. 2021 - present.
