Sri Ma Saori is an abstract painter from Japan. She currently lives and works on the main island of Okinawa Prefecture, located in the south of Japan, where she can hear the sound of waves in her studio. A lover of nature and art, she focuses on creating art with as little impact on the natural environment as possible. Her work is influenced by the energy of the earth, the changing nature, people, animals, and all living things. Her minimalist expression, based on the image of a single petal of a flower, contains an expression of a grand consciousness in which everything is connected. Having learned the fundamentals of art from Japanese painting, her work incorporates traditional Japanese hues, color choices, compositions, and shapes in her abstract expressions. Her works, which are based on her longtime spiritual practice of yoga and Zen, are somehow fragile, yet full of beauty and strength, and her works reflect the energy of Mother Earth and her own strong core, which she wants to express.
