Graduated from Osaka Municipal Kogei High School, Department of Design. After working in the advertising department of Hankyu Department Store, he has been active as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer for about 50 years. Involved in advertising production for 30 years, including posters for sightseeing in the South Kinki region (Nara, Wakayama, Mie, and parts of Osaka) for JR (formerly Japan National Railways). Produced many images for store openings of Nichii (Mycal), Daiei, Seiyu, etc. Produced many seasonal campaigns (New Year, Christmas, Valentine's Day) for Daimaru Shinsaibashi Store, etc. Directed joint Christmas sales for Daimaru Shinsaibashi and Shinsaibashisuji Shopping Arcade. Produced several "train window views" for the visit of Emperor Showa and Crown Prince (Emperor Heisei) to the Kansai region. Participated in the "Buddhist Sculptures of Nara Yamatoji" series, a joint campaign by Japan National Railways and Kinki Nippon Railways for Nara. Won the Gold Prize in the poster contest sponsored by the Ministry of Transport for the sightseeing of Nara Manyo. Won silver awards for sightseeing in Nachi and Kushimoto, respectively. Produced a poster for the Flower Expo (Awaji, Hyogo Prefecture). Created a mural painting for the Tajima Expo. Produced the main artwork for the new urban development "Saito" (Senriyama). Worked on a series of articles for the monthly picture book magazine "Hikari no Kuni" (Japan). His picture book "Africa: Between Heaven and Earth" (Dainippon Painting) won a prize at the Bologna Picture Book Exhibition in Italy (1986).
