uryu's works express harmony with nature and creation from nothingness through the use of shades of black ink, blotches, and blank spaces. The combination of these elements gives the work a sense of silence and energy, and makes the viewer feel a sense of infinite space and time. With the theme of "the form of the formless," the works seem to capture moments of nature, such as wind, water, and clouds, and their meditative elements are calming and soothing. Each piece has a different shape and design, yet portrays the strength that lies within the stillness.
