Concept

Since her early childhood, Aase Lind experienced the rich variations of light in the Nordic countries. In order to capture the light, Aase Lind works with a large spectrum of colours. She defines herself as a colourist. She uses mainly acrylics, water based oils on a wooden stretched canvas. . Aase Lind’s central themes are nature and environments, landscapes, seascapes, florals, and gardens. Her series focusing on Nordic themes often depicts the Arctic, Greenland or Scandinavia. The challenge when exploring these themes is to capture the rapidly shifting light at the very moment.
