Lu Zude, born in August 1950 in Shanghai, China. From an early age, he showed a keen interest in painting, beginning his artistic apprenticeship at the age of six in Shanghai. From 1972 to 1974, he studied under the renowned teacher Xu Minghua, learning painting techniques and artistic theories systematically. He then went on to study at the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Normal University, where he successfully graduated. After graduating, Lu Zude chose art teaching as a career and became a fine arts teacher. During his years as a teacher, he not only passed on painting techniques to his students, but also awakened their passion for art.
