Suiboku-ga" is composed of water and ink. Sumi ink is the final form of flame, and it is a highly accidental method of expression that occurs when it collides with the conflicting element of water. In English, chance is expressed as "chance," "accident," and "chance factor." Using the chance factor of an accident as a once-in-a-lifetime expression that only Japanese paper and sumi ink can produce, I draw clear blacks that retain the memory of water and fire. Almost all of the works are created using the reverse side of the painted object as the front side, creating a softness as if through a veil.
