Looking up, for me, is an expression of hope, and is representative of the need for solidity in an ever-changing world. It is my hope that viewers of my work will see shapes and lines as solid fixtures surrounded by a world in a constant state of flux. These fixtures are surrounded, though not necessarily sublimated, by movement and change.

I am an abstract expressionist artist who creates works based on my interpretation of the world around me, personal relationships and experiences, culture and current events. I create both non-representational and representational pieces.

The act of creating, for me, is a very personal act; it causes me to look both inside and outside myself for ideas and inspiration.

It is my desire that viewers of my work will identify in some way with the ideas my paintings express and that they will see a bit of themselves in them.
