Concept

Valery Polugodina is a young artist who creates artworks using mostly oil, sometimes acrylic, paper, markers. The artist plays with bright contrasting shades, thus creating an "idle" mood. Valery tries to convey emotions, feelings, thoughts (her own and others), to communicate with the viewer. Often the artist resorts to metaphor to convey the concept through familiar objects. Some art works are in private collections in Russia.

Biography

Valery Polugodina young Russian artist. Lives and works in Moscow since 2015. She was born in 1997. As a child, Valery painted a lot. She started art school at 8 y.o. The artist left a great impression after her first visit to the Tretyakov Gallery. In 2020 she graduated from People’s Friendship University of Russia majoring in architecture. While studying at the university, she attended many exhibitions and lectures on art. For several years she worked as an architect and at the same time painted an oil. Fully in art since mid 2021 and the artist has participated in 6 exhibitions in Russia.
