What makes a person alive? What indisputable right is given to us by birthright? This is an opportunity to experience emotions. The whole spectrum of moving from sadness to joy or from delight to despondency is our way of coping with what life has to offer. Each work of Maxim very vividly reflects living emotions, their transformation, where even the statues come to life and offer to listen to their story. The viewer is always interested in unraveling the emotions hidden in the delicately drawn hands of a musician or athlete at the peak of their achievements. The contrast of white and black, light and shadow creates a whole story in which the events experienced take on clear outlines on paper. Maxim's drawings are honesty in what inspires him, this is a sincerely experienced emotion in every stroke and a great desire to convey to his admirers the whole infinity of the palette of life.

to be updatedMy name is Maxim Kulikov. I’m an independent artist from Kyiv, Ukraine. I studied art for 12 years, including school and university. My experience as a designer and photographer had a big impact on my art expression abilities.

to be updatedMy name is Maxim Kulikov. I’m an independent artist from Kyiv, Ukraine. I studied art for 12 years, including school and university. My experience as a designer and photographer had a big impact on my art expression abilities.
I am a huge fan of graphics and abstract art, deep contrast of black and white. Human, his emotions, inner world are the source of my inspiration. Antique statues are another source for my art ideas and I instantly look for a new form to express their uniqueness.
Charcoal, graphite pencils, golden leaf and acrylic are my favorite materials to brighten the contrast of black and white.
By now I’ve participated in several exhibitions in Ukraine:
