I draw and paint all my life. I like to use mixed media. All of that above achives in painting fullness and richness of colors, lines, shades and layers. My method of work is that I draw first of all a sketch, a few small pencil drawings. Among I choose the best I like and increase to canvas or papier. Often sketch and canvas are difrent because I follow my intuition.
I find inspiration all around me. The latest series of paintings is inspired by the Adriatic Sea. Two years ago I was in Blue Cave on island Bisevo where I was enchanted by the crystal shades of blue and silver, the crystal unreal colours of the clear sea. This prompted me to paint the sea and divers. I was born and raised at sea therefore sea landscape stretches through all these years of my painting. My intetntion is to convey through my paintings the perfect peace that I feel when I dive in. And all those soothing transcedent shades of blue. My intention is also to encourage people to protect the sea from pollution because we all live on the Big Blue Planet. Blue colour is conection with the sky, especially light blue is also percived as a symbol of serenity, calm, peace, order, spaciouness, trust, sincerity and fidelity, frendship and sympathy.
My intention was to transfer to visitors the joy of living and peace. I think it s important in this modern, frenetic lifestyle. Art works gives the space indentity, warmth and beauty so we should surround ourselves with art.
