Since I was a child I was passionate about painting, my first drawings with watercolors and crayons were forging the restlessness, the need to express feelings and emotions to share and transmit.
My passion for the world of comics as a teenager was the motivation to immerse myself in ink as a means of expression for my works.
Basically using Chinese and Indian ink, for its vivid and vibrant colors. Technique that I have been working and perfecting over the years, difficult for its complexity. Using only the basic colors and creating a palette of bright and luminous colors with three-dimensional effects, which give life and a force that transports you to a world of sensations and feelings when contemplating the works.
I like all painting techniques, although the one with which I am most comfortable and inspired is undoubtedly ink, which lends itself to mixtures with graphite, charcoal, watercolor, and even sand to experiment and create.
I didn't have the opportunity to study Fine Arts, however, over the years I have been training as a self-taught artist, inspired by the great painters of different techniques and trends. The richness of art is infinite, always inspiring me to keep learning and nourishing myself to continue creating.
The technique I use is complex and very laborious, working with layers of color and glazes that are superimposed to create color effects and shapes that give life to the works. Depending on the effects of stains, colors and measures in the works, the time to finish one is sometimes up to three or four months, because you have to wait for it to dry well to apply the next layer of color because the ink I use has to be diluted with water, to achieve effects of color density that are not achieved with a few simple brushstrokes.
