He established the technique of "blotting painting," a unique technique of painting with multiple layers of sumi ink, utilizing the blotting effect of sumi ink, and appeared on NHK TV as "New Japanese Sumi-e" and began full-scale activities as a contemporary sumi-e artist, continuing to paint works on the theme of Ainu culture and conservation of nature. Since then, he has exhibited many works at international art exhibitions abroad as well as special exhibitions mainly at the Sapporo Mitsukoshi Department Store. He has also exhibited at Le Salon, where his name was inscribed in the French Artists' Association, and has opened up a new world of sumi ink that had never existed in the long history of sumi ink. He has also created works modeled on his beloved cat "MOMOCO," which used to be a shelter cat, and launched his private brand "Amchou Land." Through events, he is involved in cat protection activities under the theme of "Save the cats! Zero Kills".
