CANDY is the poster child for an age in which we seek cyborgs as a substitute for human warmth. The rapid progress of AI has created a character robot that can be close to people as a partner to heal the loneliness of modern people, and can confide its true feelings in a dialogue with AI. This work is a hymn to those who are keenly aware of the changing social trends, but who are willing to continue to evolve further.

Amagatsuki: The "Ukushima" series, as the title suggests, is a deformation and story based on my feelings during my four years on Ukushima, the northernmost island of the Goto Archipelago. It is a hymn to the people who are trying to move forward while coexisting in awe of the magnificent nature.

The works are based on acrylic, ink, watercolor, and other media that can be fixed to a support using water as the medium, while also experimenting with collage and mixed media. I also experimented with different materials for the supports, from paper to wood, etc. We hope you enjoy the works.
